The Book of Fasting

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ
عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ فَإِنْ حَالَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ سَحَابٌ فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَلاَ تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الشَّهْرَ اسْتِقْبَالاً " .

English Translation
Ibn 'Abbas narrated that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that "Fast when you see it, and stop fasting when you see it, and if clouds prevent you from seeing it, then complete the number, and do not fast ahead of Ramadan
