The Book of Hajj

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَالَ هَنَّادٌ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُح
ْرِمَ ادَّهَنَ بِأَطْيَبِ مَا يَجِدُهُ حَتَّى أَرَى وَبِيصَهُ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ . تَابَعَهُ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَلَى هَذَا الْكَلاَمِ وَقَالَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ .

English Translation
It was narrated that 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that "When the Prophet ﷺ and (in his narration) Hannad said: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ "wanted to enter Ihram, he would daub the best perfume that he could find, until I saw it glistening on his head and in his beard. (sahih)
