أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي صَفْوَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، - وَكَانَ خَيْرَ أَهْلِ زَمَانِهِ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ ا
للَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَكْثَرَ مَا يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنَ الْمَغْرَمِ وَالْمَأْثَمِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا تَتَعَوَّذُ مِنَ الْمَغْرَمِ قَالَ " إِنَّهُ مَنْ غَرِمَ حَدَّثَ فَكَذَبَ وَوَعَدَ فَأَخْلَفَ " .

English Translation
It was narrated that 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ [SAW] often used to seek refuge (with Allah) from debt and sin. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how often you seek refuge from debt!' He said: 'Whoever gets into debt speaks and lies, and makes a promise and breaks it
