Chapter: Rasoolullah Leaning On Something Other Than a Pillow
باب ما جاء في اتكاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ شَاكِيًا، فَخَرَجَ يَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَعَلَيْهِ ثَوْبٌ قِطْرِيٌّ، قَدْ تَوَشَّحَ بِهِ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ.
English Translation
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that “the Prophet ﷺ (Allah bless him and give him peace) was feeling ill, so he came out leaning on Usama ibn Zaid wearing an outer garment of coarse cotton fabric, which he had thrown on loosely, after which he led them in the ritual prayer.”
