باب ما جاء في شرب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم

Arabic Text

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ كَبْشَةِ، قَالَتْ‏:‏ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَشَرِبَ مِنْ قِرْبَةٍ مُعَلَّقَةٍ قَائِمًا، فَقُمْتُ إِلَى فِيهَا فَقَطَعْتُهُ‏.‏

English Translation

'Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abi 'Amra said that his grandmother Kabsha said: "the Prophet ﷺ (Allah bless him and give him peace) entered my presence, then he drank from a suspended waterskin while standing, so I reached up to its mouth and cut it loose.”
