باب كيف كان كلام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم

Arabic Text

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قُتَيْبَةَ سَلْمُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، يُعِيدُ الْكَلِمَةَ ثَلاثًا لِتُعْقَلَ عَنْهُ‏.‏

English Translation

Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that "Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to repeat each expression three times in order to make himself understood.”
