Hadith #76
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُنْكَدِرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " كُلُّ مَعْرُوفٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْمَ
عْرُوفِ أَنْ تَلْقَى أَخَاكَ بِوَجْهٍ طَلْقٍ وَأَنْ تُفْرِغَ مِنْ دَلْوِكَ فِي إِنَاءِ أَخِيكَ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .

English Translation
Jabir bin Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that "Every good is charity. Indeed among the good is to meet your brother with a smiling face, and to pour what is left in your bucket into the vessel of your brother
