Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْمُسْتَبَّانِ مَا قَالاَ فَعَلَى ا
لْبَادِي مِنْهُمَا مَا لَمْ يَعْتَدِ الْمَظْلُومُ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ سَعْدٍ وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

English Translation
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that "(The burden of) what is said by the two who vilify each other is upon the one who initiated it, as long as the one who was wronged does not transgress
