Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ الْكُوفِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ السَّلاَمِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيد

Body (Matn)

ِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ " أَنْتَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى إِلاَّ أَنَّهُ لاَ نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي " .هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَيُسْتَغْرَبُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ .

English Translation

Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that that the Prophet ﷺ said to 'Ali, "You are to me, in the position that Harun was to Musa, [except that there is no Prophet after me]
