Overview

A Sunni movement originating from the scholarship of Ahmad Rida Khan of Bareilly, India (d. 1921). Follows the Hanafi madhab and Ash'ari/Maturidi creed. Places emphasis on love of the Prophet (Hubb an-Nabi), celebrates the Mawlid (Prophet's birthday), and supports Sufi practices within Shariah.
