مقدمة إلى الأدب المفرد: دستور الحياة اليومية
Al-Adab al-Mufrad (Isolated Book of Manners) is a hadith collection by the greatest hadith scholar in Islamic history, Imam Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari — compiler of Sahih al-Bukhari, the most authentic book after the Quran. Unlike his Sahih, which focuses on fiqh and aqeedah, this collection gathers the prophetic traditions specifically on Islamic character and social etiquette.
The book contains over 1,300 narrations organized under hundreds of short topical chapters covering every dimension of Muslim social life: relations with parents, children, neighbours, guests, servants and employees, the elderly, and non-Muslims. It covers greetings, speech, hospitality, mercy, generosity, patience, anger, honesty, and the etiquette of eating, sleeping, traveling, and gathering.
Authenticated by al-Albani (who graded each hadith), this collection is considered the primary Islamic reference for Muslim character and akhlaq. A Muslim who internalizes and acts upon the teachings of this book will embody the prophetic character that Allah commanded when He said: "And indeed, you are of a great moral character." (Quran 68:4)
