Al-Mu'jam al-Awsat

The middle-sized of at-Tabarani's three mu'jam collections, organized by the names of his own teachers. It contains approximately 10,000 narrations and is known for preserving many unique (gharib) hadiths not found in other collections. Scholars value it particularly for its rare chains of transmission.
