One of the most important hadith collections for legal purposes, organizing narrations by jurisprudential chapters. Al-Bayhaqi included hadith from all major and minor collections with his critical analysis of chains. Particularly important for Shafi'i fiqh as it provides the hadith basis for many Shafi'i positions.
