Introduction to Exposing Shaytan
مقدمة: أساليب الشيطان في استدراج الإنسان
A detailed examination of the methods Shaytan (Satan) uses to mislead human beings, drawn from the Quran, Sunnah, and statements of the Salaf. Allah warns in the Quran: "Indeed, Shaytan is an enemy to you, so take him as an enemy" (35:6). Understanding his strategies is the first step in defending against them.
The book covers: the enmity of Shaytan toward Adam and his descendants from the beginning; his promise to mislead humanity from every direction; his primary methods including beautifying sins, creating doubt in the heart, whispering (waswas), making innovation seem beneficial, and distracting from worship; and specific strategies he uses against scholars, worshippers, and ordinary Muslims.
The book also covers the Islamic means of protection from Shaytan: the morning and evening adhkar, seeking refuge from Shaytan, reciting Ayat al-Kursi, maintaining wudu, and remaining firm in the Sunnah. Understanding the enemy makes one better prepared to resist his deceptions and seek Allah's protection from them.
