One of the largest hadith collections ever compiled, containing over 27,000 narrations organized by the companion who narrated them. Imam Ahmad selected these from over 750,000 hadith he had memorized. The Musnad is a primary source for hadith scholars and contains many narrations not found in the six canonical collections.
