A specialized tafsir focused exclusively on the legal verses of the Quran from the Maliki perspective. Abu Bakr ibn al-Arabi, the prominent Andalusian judge and scholar (not to be confused with the Sufi Ibn Arabi), provides detailed comparative fiqh discussions for each verse containing a legal ruling. The work is considered one of the three greatest works on ahkam al-Quran alongside those of al-Jassas (Hanafi) and al-Kiya al-Harrasi (Shafi'i).
