Virtues and Merits of the Prophet (pbuh) and his Companions

Arabic Text

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلاَلٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَعَى جَعْفَرًا وَزَيْدًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجِيءَ خَبَرُهُمْ، وَعَيْنَاهُ تَذْرِفَانِ‏.‏

English Translation

Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ had informed us of the death of Ja`far and Zaid before the news of their death reached us, and his eyes were shedding tears
