أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْ

بَةُ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، يَقُولُ : سَأَلَتْ خَالَتِي خَوْلَةُ بِنْتُ حَكِيمٍ الْسُلَمِيَّةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : عَنْ الْمَرْأَةِ تَحْتَلِمُ،" فَأَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ "

English Translation

It was narrated from Khawlah bint Hakim al-Sulamiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a woman who sees in her dream what a man sees — meaning she has a wet dream. He said: 'She should perform ghusl.' Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) objected and said: 'Uff! Do you think a woman experiences that?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned to her and said: 'May your right hand be soiled — so from where does her child resemble her?'
