أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ ، قَالَ فِي النُّفَسَاءِ الَّت

ِي تَرَى الدَّمَ :" تَرَبَّصُ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً، ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي "، وَقَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ : " شَهْرَيْنِ ثُمَّ هِيَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْمُسْتَحَاضَةِ "

English Translation
It was reported from al-Hasan that he said regarding a woman in post-natal bleeding (nifas) who sees blood: 'She waits forty nights, then prays.' And al-Sha'bi said: 'Two months — then she is like the mustahadah.'
