Hadith #379
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ : بَيْنَا أَنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُضْطَجِعَةٌ فِي الْخَ
مِيلَةِ إِذْ حِضْتُ، فَانْسَلَلْتُ، فَأَخَذْتُ ثِيَابَ حِيضَتِي، فَقَالَ :" أَنَفِسْتِ؟ "، قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ، قَالَتْ : " فَدَعَانِي فَاضْطَجَعْتُ مَعَهُ فِي الْخَمِيلَةِ "، قَالَتْ : وَكَانَتْ هِيَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَغْتَسِلَانِ مِنْ الْإِنَاءِ الْوَاحِدِ مِنْ الْجَنَابَةِ، وَكَانَ يُقَبِّلُهَا وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: 'While I was lying with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the khamilah (a thick blanket), I began to menstruate. I slipped away and took my menstrual garments. He said: "Have you begun menstruating?" I said: "Yes." She said: "He called me and I lay with him in the khamilah."' She said: 'She and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to bathe from the same vessel after janabah (ritual impurity), and he would kiss her while fasting.'
