أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ

Body (Matn)

بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ مَوْلَى عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ نُدْبَةَ مَوْلَاةِ مَيْمُونَةَ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ" يُبَاشِرُ الْمَرْأَةَ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ إِذَا كَانَ عَلَيْهَا إِزَارٌ، يَبْلُغُ أَنْصَافَ الْفَخِذَيْنِ أَوْ الرُّكْبَتَيْنِ مُحْتَجِزَةً بِهِ "

English Translation

It was narrated from Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be intimate with his wives when they were menstruating, as long as there was an izaar (lower garment) reaching to the middle of the thighs or the knees, fastened tightly.
