حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ سُفْيَانُ :" أَيُجَامِعُ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ إِذَا انْقَطَعَ عَنْهَا الدَّمُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْتَسِ

لَ؟، فَقَالَ : لَا، فَقِيلَ : أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ تَرَكَتْ الْغُسْلَ يَوْمَيْنِ أَوْ أَيَّامًا؟، قَالَ : تُسْتَتَابُ "

English Translation
It was narrated that Sufyan was asked: 'May a man have intercourse with his wife when the blood has stopped but before she has performed ghusl?' He said: 'No.' He was asked: 'What if she has not performed ghusl for two days or more?' He maintained his position that she must perform ghusl first.
