Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْت الزُّهْرِيَّ عَنْ الرَّجُلِ يَبْتَاعُ الْجَارِيَةَ ل
َا تَبْلُغْ الْمَحِيضَ وَلَا تَحْمِلُ مِثْلُهَا، كَمْ يَسْتَبْرِئُهَا؟، قَالَ :" ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْهُرٍ "، وقَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ : " بِخَمْسَةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا "

English Translation
It was narrated from al-Awzai that he said: 'I asked al-Zuhri about a man who purchases a slavegirl who has not yet reached the age of menstruation nor is she the kind whose pregnancy is possible — how long must he wait before being intimate with her? He said: Three months.' Yahya ibn Abi Kathir also said: 'Three months.'
