Chain of Narration (Isnad)

أَخْبَرَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ : كَانَ يَمُرُّ بِنَا وَالنَّاسُ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ مِنْ الْم

ِطْهَرَةِ، وَيَقُولُ :" أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ "، قَالَ : أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ K : " وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنْ النَّارِ "، قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : هَذَا أَعْجَبُ إِلَيَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to pass by people performing ablution from the water vessel and would say: 'Perform ablution thoroughly.' Abu al-Qasim — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — said: 'Woe to the heels from the Fire.' Abu Muhammad said: 'This narration is more pleasing to me than the hadith of Abdullah ibn Amr.'
