Hadith #74
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ عَمْرَو بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يَحْتَزُّ مِنْ كَتِفِ شَاةٍ فِي يَدِهِ، ثُمَّ دُعِيَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، فَأَلْقَى السِّكِّينَ الَّتِي كَانَ يَحْتَزُّ بِهَا، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ "
English Translation
It was narrated from Ja'far ibn Amr ibn Umayyah, from his father Amr ibn Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him), that he saw the Prophet ﷺ cut meat from the shoulder of a sheep and then pray without performing ablution.
