Hadith #1423
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ، قَوْلُ اللَّهِ : # لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّ
نْيَا سورة يونس آية 64 #، فَقَالَ : " سَأَلْتَنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ مَا سَأَلَنِي عَنْهُ أَحَدٌ قَبْلَكَ أَوْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي، قَالَ :هِيَ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ، يَرَاهَا الْمُسْلِمُ أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the saying of Allah: 'For them are glad tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter' [Yunus 10:64]. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is the righteous dream that a Muslim sees or that is shown to him.'
