حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَنَهَى أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا "

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A widow shall not be married until she is consulted, and a virgin shall not be married until her permission is sought.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is her permission?' He said: 'That she remains silent.'
