Hadith #1703
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي السّ
َفَرِ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ : الْأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Urwah al-Bariqi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Good is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection: reward and spoils of war.' He said: I have horses, so pray for blessing in them. He said: 'Then I pray for blessing in your horses.'
