حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ : أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ" يُغِيرُ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ، وَكَانَ يَسْتَمِعُ، فَإِنْ سَمِعَ أَذَانًا، أَمْسَكَ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ أَذَانًا، أَغَارَ "

English Translation

It was narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ would raid at the time of the Fajr prayer, and would listen out: if he heard the adhan he would hold back, and if he did not hear the adhan he would raid.
