أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْحِزَامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، ع

َنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" إِذَا أَرَادَ غَزْوَةً وَرَّى بِغَيْرِهَا "

English Translation
It was narrated from Ka'b ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he intended a campaign, would give a different impression about his real destination.
