حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ هُوَ : ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَيَّاشُ بْنُ

Body (Matn)

عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ شِيَيْمِ بْنِ بَيْتَانَ ، عَنْ جُنَادَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ ، قَالَ : لَوْلَا أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَرْطَاةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ :" لا تُقْطَعُ الْأَيْدِي فِي الْغَزْوِ لَقَطَعْتُهَا "

English Translation

It was narrated from Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Guarding the frontier for one day in the cause of Allah is better than the world and all it contains.'
