Hadith #553
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ : الْبَرَّاءِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
قَالَ لَهُ : " كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي قَوْمٍ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ وَقْتِهَا؟ "، قَالَ : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَالَ :" صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا وَاخْرُجْ، فَإِنْ أُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ وَأَنْتَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: 'How will you be when you remain among people who delay the prayer from its proper time?' He said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said: 'Pray the prayer at its proper time, then if the prayer is established while you are in the mosque, pray with them.'
