Hadith #608

English Translation
It was narrated from Ubayy ibn Kab (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was a man in Madinah whose house was farther from the mosque than anyone else who prayed facing the qiblah, and he used to pray every prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Someone said to him: 'Why not buy a donkey to ride in the heat and darkness?' He said: 'By Allah, I would not like my house to be next to the mosque, for I want my walking to the mosque and my returning to be recorded for me.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Allah has combined all of that for you.'
