English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite Umm al-Qur'an (al-Fatiha) and two surahs in the first two rak'ahs of Dhuhr and Asr, sometimes letting us hear a verse; and he used to make the first rak'ah longer than the second.
