Chain of Narration (Isnad)

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْحِزَامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ

Body (Matn)

إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ائْذَنْ لِي فَلِأَسْجُدَ لَكَ. قَالَ :" لَوْ كُنْتُ آمِرًا أَحَدًا أَنْ يَسْجُدَ لِأَحَدٍ، لَأَمَرْتُ الْمَرْأَةَ أَنْ تَسْجُدُ لِزَوْجِهَا "

English Translation

It was narrated from a man (may Allah be pleased with him) who came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, permit me — I wish to prostrate to you.' He said: 'If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone, I would command a woman to prostrate to her husband because of the great right he has over her.'
