أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَابَيْهِ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ : قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : # فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَ
نْ تَقْصُرُوا مِنَ الصَّلاةِ إِنْ خِفْتُمْ سورة النساء آية 101 #، فَقَدْ أَمِنَ النَّاسُ. قَالَ : عَجِبْتُ مِمَّا عَجِبْتَ مِنْهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" صَدَقَةٌ تَصَدَّقَ اللَّهُ بِهَا عَلَيْكُمْ، فَاقْبَلُوهَا "

English Translation
It was narrated from Ya'la ibn Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked about the shortening of prayer mentioned in the Quran: 'If you travel the earth and fear that the disbelievers may harm you' (al-Nisa: 101) — while people are now safe. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is a charity that Allah has given you, so accept His charity.'
