أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِ

Body (Matn)

ي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، أَنَّ عَامِرَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" يُسَبِّحُ وَهُوَ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ، وَيُومِئُ بِرَأْسِهِ قِبَلَ أَيِّ وَجْهٍ تَوَجَّهَ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ "

English Translation

It was narrated from Amir ibn Rabi'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing voluntary prayers while riding his mount, making a head gesture toward whichever direction the animal turned.'
