Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا صَدَقَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ وَمَرْ
وَانُ يَخْطُبُ،" فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَأَتَاهُ الْحَرَسُ يَمْنَعُونَهُ، فَقَالَ : مَا كُنْتُ أَتْرُكُهُمَا وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ بِهِمَا "

English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Marwan was giving the khutbah when he (Jabir) stood and prayed two rak'ahs. The guards came to stop him, but he said: 'I would not leave them off, having seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanding them.'
