English Translation

It was narrated from Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Prophet ☯: 'Who are the most severely tested?' He said: 'The prophets, then the next best, then the next. A person is tested according to the strength of his religion. If his religion is firm, his trial is intensified; if it is weak, his trial is lightened. A trial never leaves a person until he walks on the earth free of all sin.'
