حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا يُو

سُفُ الْمَاجِشُونُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ :" لَوْ هَلَكَ عُثْمَانُ، وَزَيْدٌ فِي بَعْضِ الزَّمَانِ، لَهَلَكَ عِلْمُ الْفَرَائِضِ، لَقَدْ أَتَى عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ، وَمَا يَعْلَمُهَا غَيْرُهُمَا "

English Translation
It was narrated that Yusuf al-Majishun said: 'Ibn Shihab said: "Had Uthman and Zayd both died at some point in time, knowledge of the obligatory shares of inheritance would have perished, for there was a time when only the two of them knew it."'
