English Translation

It was narrated from al-Harith, from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), that he was brought a case of two paternal cousins, one of whom was also a uterine brother. It was said to Ali: Ibn Mas'ud used to give him all the estate. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: He was indeed a jurist. But if it were I, I would give him a sixth, and what remains would be divided between them.
