Chain of Narration (Isnad)
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ : أَنَّ عُمَرَ " كَانَكَتَبَ مِير
Body (Matn)
َاثَ الْجَدِّ، حَتَّى إِذَا طُعِنَ دَعَا بِهِ فَمَحَاهُ، ثُمّ قَالَ : سَتَرَوْنَ رَأْيَكُمْ فِيهِ "
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Sa'id (ibn al-Musayyib) that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had written down the inheritance share of the grandfather. But when he was stabbed, he called for the document and erased it, then said: 'You will see your own opinion regarding it.'
