Chain of Narration (Isnad)
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ فِي سِتّ
Body (Matn)
َةِ إِخْوَةٍ وَجَدٍّ، قَالَ :" أَعْطِ الْجَدَّ السُّدُسَ. قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : كَأَنَّهُ يَعْنِي : عَلِيًّا رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ الشَّعْبِيُّ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from al-Sha'bi regarding a case of six brothers and a grandfather: 'Give the grandfather a sixth.' Abu Muhammad (al-Darimi) said: It seems he means the ruling of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) — al-Sha'bi narrates it from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).
