أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ الْأَشْعَ

ثِ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ :" لَا نَرِثُ أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ وَلَا يَرِثُونَا، إِلَّا أَنْ يَمُوتَ لِلرَّجُلِ عَبْدُهُ أَوْ أَمَتُهُ "

English Translation
It was narrated from al-Ash'ath, from al-Hasan (al-Basri), from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), that he said: 'We do not inherit from the People of the Book and they do not inherit from us — except when a man's slave or slave-woman dies.'
