رَجُلٍ أَوْصَى لِرَجُلٍ بِنِصْفِ مَالِهِ، وَلِآخَرَ بِثُلُثِ مَالِهِ، قَالَ :يَضْرِبَانِ بِذَلِكَ فِي الثُّلُثِ : هَذَا بِالنِّصْفِ، وَهَذَا بِالثُّلُث "

English Translation
It was narrated from al-Hasan that he was asked about a man who bequeathed half of his estate to one person and one-third to another. He said: "They both share proportionally from the one-third bequest allowance — this one by the half and that one by the third."
