Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَيَّانَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ حَيَّانَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ، قَالَ : قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا خَطِيبًا فَحَمِدَ، اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ،إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَنِي رَسُول
ُ رَبِّي، فَأُجِيبَهُ، وَإِنِّي تَارِكٌ فِيكُمْ الثَّقَلَيْنِ : أَوَّلُهُمَا كِتَابُ اللَّهِ فِيهِ الْهُدَى وَالنُّورُ، فَتَمَسَّكُوا بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ، وَخُذُوا بِهِ " فَحَثَّ عَلَيْهِ وَرَغَّبَ فِيهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " وَأَهْلَ بَيْتِي، أُذَكِّرُكُمْ اللَّهَ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِي، ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood one day to deliver a sermon. He praised and glorified Allah, then said: "O people, I am but a man, and the messenger of my Lord will soon come to me and I will respond. I am leaving among you the Two Weighty Matters: the first is the Book of Allah, in which is guidance and light — hold fast to the Book of Allah and take from it." He urged them earnestly toward it. Then he said: "And my Household — I remind you of Allah regarding my Household" — three times.
