English Translation

It was narrated from Suwaid ibn Ghafalah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'The tax collector of the Prophet ﷺ came to us and I took him by the hand and read his written instructions: that property held jointly should not be separated, nor should what is held separately be combined, out of fear of zakat.'
