أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَ
بِي لَيْلَى هُوَ الْكِنْدِيُّ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ ، قَالَ : أَتَانَا مُصَدِّقُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخَذْتُ بِيَدِهِ، فَقَرَأْتُ فِي عَهْدِهِ : " أَنْلَا يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ مُتَفَرِّقٍ، وَلَا يُفَرَّقَ بَيْنَ مُجْتَمِعٍ خَشْيَةَ الصَّدَقَةِ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Suwaid ibn Ghafalah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'The tax collector of the Prophet ﷺ came to us and I took him by the hand and read his written instructions: that property held jointly should not be separated, nor should what is held separately be combined, out of fear of zakat.'
