Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُسْلِمًا الْبَطِينَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهِ عَنْهُمَا، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ
مَ، قَالَ :" مَا الْعَمَلُ، فِي أَيَّامٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ الْعَمَلِ فِي عَشْرِ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ ". قِيلَ : وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ : " وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، إِلَّا رَجُلٌ خَرَجَ بِنَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرْجِعْ بِشَيْءٍ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'There are no deeds more virtuous than deeds done in the ten days of Dhul Hijjah.' It was said: 'Not even jihad in the way of Allah?' He said: 'Not even jihad in the way of Allah, except for a man who goes out with himself and his wealth and does not return with anything.'
