حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنِ عَبْ
دِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُصْمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ فَرَضَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّلَاةَ خَمْسِينَ صَلَاةً فَسَأَلَ رَبَّهُ فَجَعَلَهَا خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ

English Translation
Aswad ibn 'Amir narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Usm, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: Allah عز وجل made fifty prayers obligatory upon His Prophet ﷺ, then reduced them to five. Then a caller said: 'O Muhammad, My word does not change — these five shall count as fifty.' — The account of the reduction of prayers during the Night Journey (al-Isra').
