حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا مُفَضَّلٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ إِنَّ هَذَا الْبَلَدَ حَرَامٌ حَرَّمَهُ اللَّهُ لَمْ يَحِلَّ فِيهِ الْقَتْلُ لِأَحَدٍ قَبْلِي وَأُحِلَّ لِي سَاعَةً فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ بِحُرْمَةِ اللَّهِ إ
ِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا يُنَفَّرُ صَيْدُهُ وَلَا يُعْضَدُ شَوْكُهُ وَلَا يَلْتَقِطُ لُقَطَتَهُ إِلَّا مَنْ عَرَّفَهَا وَلَا يُخْتَلَى خَلَاهُ فَقَالَ الْعَبَّاسُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْإِذْخِرَ فَإِنَّهُ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ وَلِقَيْنِهِمْ فَقَالَ إِلَّا الْإِذْخِرَ وَلَا هِجْرَةَ وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ وَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُوا

English Translation
Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Mufaddal narrated to us, from Mansur, from Mujahid, from Tawus, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of the conquest of Makkah: 'There is no hijrah (emigration) after the conquest, but there is jihad and intention. When you are called to go forth, then go forth.' And on the day of the conquest he said: 'Indeed, Allah has made this city sacred the day He created the heavens and the earth. It was not lawful for anyone before me, and it was not made lawful for me except for one hour of one day. Its thorns shall not be cut, its game shall not be hunted, and lost property found in it shall not be picked up except by one who makes it known.'
